Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in an LA Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, who helped create the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The celebrated industry figure lost his life when his automobile collided and caught fire on a highway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.
"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his family, and all those touched by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
