Your Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Zodiac Sign

This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the title's launch, to players developing firm opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With numerous of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: How can link this with astrology? The following is inspired by a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Stay on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Much like a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its regular and Super Form, has aided numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the Pokémon and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will defend their position unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for treats. Several previous Pokédex entries mention their fondness for sweet tree sap and how it uses its horn to hoard it everything, which is true Taurus energy.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Observe this total royalty. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the life of every party, offering an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wants to listen. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s official description also states its capacity to predict an enemy’s next moves, which seems very like a people-smart Twins.

The Crab – Super Manectric

The Crab is widely considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign known for often getting absorbed in their emotions. According to the official info, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to make a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too fabulous (or terrifying, based on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the purple sea star, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion offers to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a performance, even if for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly judgmental is strongly reflected across this creature's whole lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s just like the emoji a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Look at this gentle, sensitive creature, who uses the sensors on its ears to tell how people are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to stress even more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and swore revenge on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. Being a Archer personally, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.

The Goat – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Spirit/Flame category matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general intimidating aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in hatred and converts it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
